Kinsky. What a debut.
I guess we will find out how serious Liverpool are in the pursuit of the Mickey Mouse Cup.
If they are even half serious they will win the return leg comfortably
Wow - big day for manager turnovers in EPL. West Ham, Everton and Luton Town (not PL but were last year)
A win is a win, and Tottenham did well considering about 10 of their best squad are missing.
Not quite sure why Ange is under the gun, as the injury list is the reason for most losses not his management.
That said, have been a Liverpool overseas member for a very long time and winning the League is the most important thing, and it is not over yet.
Potter in at West Ham, that should be a decent appointment. Apparently Everton could go back to Moyes. Given they’re hovering above the drop zone that makes sense…
A new 'Arry for the Hammers
West Ham’s first manager, Syd King, was appointed in 1902, and when Harry Redknapp was in charge (he left the role in May 2001) he was the club’s eighth manager. Since then the club has had 11 different managers, including Potter, and Kevin Keen and Trevor Brooking were both caretaker managers on more than one occasion.
The club spent something like £130m on players in the off-season and the team is absolute ■■■■. An appalling goal difference and they were even outplayed in most of the games they actually won. All that coin on players and it’s pure luck they’re not in the relegation zone.
Essendon and West Ham, never the best and always worse than they should be. I should just stick to watching cricket.
The Moyesiah back in charge of the Toffees
As much as “Tottenham beat Liverpool”, you got to say that is Forest’s win. In their heads rent free.
Meanwhile we down Luton 2-0 and on we go.
Liverpool easily account for Accrington Stanley 4-0 at Anfield. Goals from Jota, Trent (absolute ), Danns and Chiesa rounded things off with his first LFC goal.
Trent’s goal was excellent. I switched over to Bristol City v Wolves at half time, one of the more entertaining goalless second halves.
I guess Plymouth over Brentford was the upset so far.
Brentford had the best record at home and Plymouth had the worst away record in the top 4 leagues. Massive upset.
Brentford given their relative safety in the Premier League would have been a big candidate for a cup run.
Tamworth v Tottenham match delayed as two of the players fix a loose part of the net. Comical but shows how authentic the FA cup is.
I loved it. And the crowd all banging on the the roof of the Spurs bench.
Oh Spurs. Flat as a tack.
Very frustrating game to watch
OG in OT is a tough break for the lads
They nearly pinched it in the final moments of regular time too. Fantastic effort.
Never in doubt.
