EPL 2025/26

Was at the Bournemouth game Saturday, who would have thought Essendon provided more respite mentally this week, staying off the socials.

All started so promisingly when I took up my mates spare ticket offer to the West Ham/Wolves match just to death ride the Spurs relegation battle.

Perhaps karma came swiftly and brutally at the lunch time kickoff. Humbled.

No Klinsmann or Ginola. We used to buy special players.. The owners are criminals.

Very poor so far and deservedly 2 down

The worst performance of the season.

Timid Defenders who are scared of contact.

Midfielders that cant pass.

Forwards with too many heavy touches.

Absolutely pathetic.

Nice one. Did you find my brick? At the Hammers that is.

Should be 4-0

And down to 10. Disgraceful

Martinez has gifted 2 goals away, and gotten a red card

BOG for Leeds

FFS get Ugarte off.

Never to be seen again.

Now we start to play

The worst performance…so far

Massive result. That second half was a hard watch. Was convinced we were going to blow it.

One more win for Leeds and they are just about safe. Really puts the pressure on Spurs, West Ham and Forest. They’d all want as many teams as possible in the mire.

I think our run in isn’t too bad either.

If we can beat Wolves at home on Saturday night and go 9 points ahead of Spurs surely that would be enough.

Being born into Essendon and Leeds supporting family in the late 70’s, the first half of my life I thought winning was normal, sport was great. The last 25 years has been a hard slog, sport is now misery, it can be the low of lows.

This weekend I have watched a young Essendon side get an unexpected win and show glimmers of hope for a future. I have been at the QLD state netball Championships where I watched my daughter’s team win the U16 second division championship and our association win the U18 state title. Then, after it was finished I looked up the Leeds result hoping beyond hope for a draw - for the first time in my living memory we beat Man U at Old Trafford - I love sport, it is the high of all highs!

Gave it a like because it had a warm and fuzzy feel. But I wished Leeds had got beat. Purely from a selfish point of view of course.

Cracking late save by Leno for Fulham.

Brutal 95th min equaliser for Brighton. Spurs just can’t get that win. If they can’t get all 3 against Wolves next week it’s over. As it stands it’s almost over.
