Technically you’re correct but that tweet DOES read as if the march was organised by the club.

It is time for Essendon supporters to show Dave Culbert and those that think like him where we stand.
It should only strengthen the resolve of a true Essendon supporter to fly the flag on behalf of the suspended players and the current players, and the club itself.
If I attend the game on an MCC visitor’s ticket (about $45 I think), does anyone know how much of this goes to Essendon and how much to the MCC?
Please tell me urgently if the AFL gets any, because, if so, I will march, then go home and watch on TV, and donate $45 to the club.

The dollars that go the club are indeed important, especially this year. You being at the game, supporting the boys, is more important, especially this year.

The club would get the same percentage as a regular ticket. MCC pay for every patron that goes into the reserve, which is why I think the visitor pass cost is middle of the range.
