This is an acute thought I had a few years ago, and it literally just came back to me as I was lying in bed. But part of essendon problem is that we recruit goody two shoes private school boys, and not enough hardened young apprentices or lads off the farm. Which then led me to suspect that our players car park would be full off beamers,Mercedes, Audi, teslas and no hiluxes, rangers or landcruisers. Does anyone have any insight into if this is actually true? My bet would be that there’s lots of flash European cars been driven by our players. In contrast I remember watching all the Geelong players leaving a training sesh a couple of years back, all of them in Ford Rangers. Can anyone shed any light on this?

It helps when Ford are providing those vehicles to players for marketing purposes. Players are gifted Ford vehicles ‘on loan’ and they help Geelong players stay a little more anonymous locally.
