Did you add the winning matches or all of the candidates? If not obvious, @scotty21 can point you to the links for the others.
All of them.
Got to work this morning but can throw a few things your way later today?
How can we have an Essendon videos thread and not have FLASH MOB?
Can we see this site?
Personally anything from 2000 is always fun.
Yeah, it’s www.footyjumpers.com
Good find. Loved the medical attention given to the injured player at about 23 minutes.
Thanks for posting that. I remember that game quite well. The underrated Brian Sampson outpointed Polly Farmer in the ruck, no mean feat and essentially why we won against the reigning premiers.
You would have watched him play I assume which modern forward to do you compare him too?
No, never saw him play, saw him coach. Geoff Leek who was vice captain of the 1962 premiership team and is in the video lived behind our next door neighbour. He was gracious enough to chat with me when l was a little kid. He also got me a full set of Essendon autographs at one stage, but they are long gone.
I met Geoff Leek a number of times and he was a really nice guy.
Gentle giant,
Love his fitness test story with Coleman.
The greatest last quarter comeback. Ess D Dees, ANZAC Day, 1992. Many great performances, none better than Salmon, Sommerville and Considine. The colour is poor and the commentary is amateurish at best, but can’t fault their enthusiasm.
Quite rare production from 2000 - Sydney vs Essendon at the SCG. Includes pre-game, quarter breaks etc and interviews. Full broadcast of a game that proved one of our toughest that year.
Only uploaded last week.
And… another one…
1997 Essendon Season Review with Gary O’Donnell, Craig Kelly, Rohan Connelly and Rob Gaylard. Originally televised on the Optus Vision channel, Sports AFL.
Another classic from YouTuber/Historian Rhett Bartlett (son of Kevin). Apparently he has received box loads of old VHS tapes from Rohan Connelly in recent months with lots of Essendon content from the 1990s and early 2000s so I would expect more rare videos to come.
That seems to be only a single camera.
