Essendon vs Adelaide - Review

Do you know we are not far from this. We feel good, we will do really well next year. Believe!!!

I wonder who Zerrett, RAZ, Joey, Parish and McG would choose as their best 22 to play with.

Players are being asked to coach themselves out there so they should at least choose the team too.

2015 would be colyer last good game. No idea what game though

I thought Jobe was actually good in the second half.

Thought we were brave, just not good enough.

Umps toasted us. Wasn’t the difference but can we just get an even playing field? Ump 22 dead set cheat.

Benny Howlett has been a warrior for us but please, should not be playing senior footy for us again.

LAV has the talent but just do the basics right. You’re not a rockstar yet.

We need more hard running mids. Our forward line is set our next draft should be all mids (and a forward).

We’re out of the 8? Fark carlton

Will always be a middle road team with players like colyer fumbles an never plays four quarters
Howlett we all know why
Lav reminds me of McPhee. Kind of like a dear in the headlights
Green to slow an goes missing
Myers slow with one leg
An a few more slow mids I can’t even be bothered with anymore. Hope we actually can do some trading for mids but we r ■■■■ at that to

Nicely put. Our intensity dropped off at times. Whenever we had momentum the umpires would step in and quell it. It just killed us, and this is when our intensity dropped. On reflection, its very hard to blame the team for that. They worked so hard to get back in the game only to be given that sort of treatment.

I don’t know what would have happened if the game was umpired fairly. But at a guess it would have been a good even contest. Despite our obvious deficiency’s in the midfield we are not far off the best teams in the comp.

They don’t kick it forward. They go via the Cape a lot of the time.

If we confirmed anything tonight, its draft or trade for MIDS!!! Please!

I had a look. One good game in half a year, then he got injured.

And it’s stifling the development of better athletes with more talent. Begely and Mutch must play the last two rounds.

Sometimes you’re just not good enough. Let’s hope we don’t meet them in the finals in Adelaide if we make it.

Hope we can smash the Suns. It’s do or die time.

Was really disappointed that we weren’t able to lock play down when we needed to. Four goals in row at the end of the third, and looked like taking the momentum into the break. Then we let the Crows kick two in the dying minutes.

Really missed having Zerret out there tonight. Hartley, and the good version of Bellchambers would have been really handy too.

But if Kelly retires, we’ll need to draft 3 more half back flankers first. It’s the Dodoro way.

Conceded late goals;
1qtr. 4 of last 5
2nd. 5 of last 5
4th. 4 of last 5

As usual.

I get that we’re aiming for a game in the finals so can we give the guys a taste of the action. That means trying to keep somewhat of a settled team going in. So we if we make a move on Colyer, Myers, Watson, Howlett it means we don’t make it in my opinion.

But ■■■■ me it’s frustrating that we’re aiming for a “taste” when really we should have highlighted a few holes and be grooming guys like Mutch and Begley, and giving more consistent game time to Langford and Lav (although Lav couldn’t have been avoided) to set us up for next season. It was obvious early on the team he wanted to take into the finals wasn’t going to do much once it was in there. And if we don’t make it at all then we’ve wasted a year that should have been a great second step from last year’s development.

The best thing is the boys are being taught to play themselves and will perform much better in the 2nd half of the season…

Woosha pls

Our midfield has struggled all year with older players, and the brains trust have just doubled down on it.

If we miss finals this will have been a utter disaster of a season development wise

What was the most egregious maggot decision tonight?

There were so many!

Just in the first quarter, my nominations are:

1)Out of bounds on the full, but Crows player marks. Mark paid. The only free we usually can be assured of were OOF, but that has now been stolen from us.

  1. An Essendon player does not take possession of the ball; it is held to him by a Crows player. Maggot calls holding the ball. Goal to Cows.

  2. Hurley makes contact with Cows’ player’s bicep/shoulder. Free paid for in the back. Cows goal.

  3. Hurley infringed twice after mark. Maggot does not call 50m but calls play on. Rushed play results in yet another goal to Cows.

Absolutely egregious decisions.

Maybe others can point out further egregious maggoty in the next three quarters.

Fark the farking maggots. Fark the AFL and fark all their farking sycophantic communications specialists who will not call this disgrace for what it is.

Exactly, start planning for next year, rest stars and give older guys a sendoff game.
