Actually the stat is correct. Germany (combined) has never defeated Italy at a major tournament. Friendlies yes, but in Euros/WC no.

England finished 2nd and got to play iceland, we were all spewing how hard italys match was compared to someone who finished 2nd.
In the end italy dominated Spain and iceland beat England.
