Euro 2024

Getting in early before the Fabio Grosso dive gets discussed from almost 20 years ago.

Good memories from the last edition of the tournament, taking down the poms at their fortress and bringing it Rome.

France obvious faves but anything can happen.

England and Germany not far behind

Will this be Englands year?

Italy won’t even get out of the group phase.

If we get to the last 8, that will be a pass for me. Our attack is garbage and we still have that brazilian ■■■■■■■ jorginho stinking up the midfield,

LOL, getting all the pommie blitzers up and about and angry nice and early, love it.

Italy will find it difficult but we always do better with our backs against the wall. The team was Euro 2014 was shocking and performed admirably so you never know.

England won’t go close to winning because they have a loser culture.

Germany at home will be tough to beat. Portugal could give it a shake too

Yeah Italy are ■■■■. England has a far superior squad but it’s whether Southgate is the wet blanket that stifles them that’s the issue. If they don’t win it then he will get the sack for sure.

Oh boy

Actually think they may be ready to finally win something, although as smooth pointed out it may be the manager that stinks it up.

I personally just think the players are incredibly overrated

Aside from Bellingham and Kane

If you listen to the English media, they’ve already won the thing already

Unfortunately you’re right about England. They could have 11 Peles on the field and they’d find a way to lose. Probably in a penalty shootout.

Seeing Italy hoist that trophy against England and at Wembley of all places is one the greatest sporting moments of my life if not the best

Such great memories

portugal for mine

I love to see the Poms lose as much as the next guy, but you can’t deny the talent there. Foden, Palmer, Saka, Rice, TAA along with Kane and Bellingham are world class.

Their defence is average AF though.

Spain and Croatia look like the ones that will advance. They are in a tough group.

They have some holes at the back. Seems like Stones in no certainty to be available for the Serbia game, and Shaw is still working up to fitness. Likely to play Joe Gomez in the middle and Trippier as a makeshift LB. Who you partner with Rice and Bellingham in midfield is another issue. Talent for sure they should make SF at a bare minimum. If they had a Pep or Klopp calibre of manager they’d win it, I have no doubt. Southgate has done a job for them, just not sure if he’s the guy that can win a trophy.

Quite a few of the best ranked 3rd teams will also go through, not sure how many but there’s also that avenue for teams who don’t finish top 2

Sadly I just don’t see it

Our defence is a major concern

Our first choice left back in Shaw is injured

With Maguire out we have nobody decent to partner stones at CB

Our attackers look lethal, but when we come up against the really good teams we won’t be able to hold them

Southgate has been pretty ballsy with his squad selection, let’s see if it pays off

Germany or France will win the tournament imo

Of all the English players as not to be overrated you list Kane - the guy who has never won a single team trophy in his career.

Suddenly the poms want slabhead

Slabhead is ■■■■. I’m surprised that Branthwaite didn’t make the final squad. Had an impressive season for Everton. He’s superior to Lewis Dunk who is in the squad, and even I’d have taken Quansah ahead of him.
