could have gone to adelaide, but he’d have to actually work hard and help build the side up to get success.
ditto with daniher and brissy, could have gone to gc, or sydney, but then he’d actually have to do the hard yards again to help build them up.
I can actually see it backfiring for both of them, i can’t imagine either side will tolerate their half arsed nature like essendon did.

Maybe not since Bewick have we had a guy as effective at moving the ball between the 50m arcs, that could also kick goals.

No. I didn’t forget that at all. There were signs in 2010 that Bomber was worn out. There was a reason he was let out of his contract a year early.
know this is all hindsight but Choco applied for the role after a break from the game and on that herald sun podcast a while ago he said he was comfortable to usher Hird into the role. If that’s true, that would’ve been a much better model than recruiting Bomber who was running on empty by then. Just an opinion obviously.
Change of scenery and happy home life can often help too. Ryan Burton has missed more games than he has played for Port due to soft tissue injuries so they aren’t any miracle workers
