I was hoping we may have had a chat to Bassett about coaching us post Woosha. Clearly that wasn’t gonna happen. No idea if Bassett has ambitions to coach at senior level but if past experience is a guide, he might be good at it
Not interested in leaving SA again.
Is looking at getting more into managing and FD roles
Can’t be bothered working out if this has been addressed already so forgive me if I’m retreading old ground, but why would we trade him this year? The way I see it, we potentially give him away for SFA this year and risk him becoming a gun for another team, or we see if he can get his body right and if he still wants out at the end of year having put together a good 2021, we get a much better deal. Why do we HAVE to do it this year? It’s different to Daniher.
Don’t know any port fans that rate him at all.
I think he’ll be somewhere in between.
Am I the only one who think he won’t be any where near as good as he was a few years ago no matter where he goes?
That was probably our thoughts last year.
Its actually a strange one, because Fantasia is actually incentivised to stay with us next year too and try to push up his contract value.
However, why would Essendon next year bother giving games to a guy who wont be around next year, when we could be giving them to someone else?
Its clear that we have made the decision to tell him that he is not welcome anymore, and its up to him to get the Adelaide teams interested this year, so we can be done with all the drama and if we take unders, so be it. We are better culturally as a club getting rid of the players that aren’t committed now anyway
Would you rather see Raz at the crows because you hate Port or because they have a better draft hand? Both?
Bit of both.
I hate the Crows too but they will be easier to deal with
Nope. All the available evidence backs you up. I hope for his sake that he does find some form though. Just not too much.
Hypothetically, what draft pick is he worth as a straight swap? Given that he’s contracted, I’m thinking a pick in the low 30s.
Might be better to ‘do a Joe’ and keep him at the club to try and win him back over. Could work for him too as he has a chance to up the cash on his next contract. Sure, it didn’t work with Joe but if Brash can turn the place around maybe we can keep him and see him return to form.
I think he will improve significantly personally.
I know he’s had his injury concerns but I also thing he has disengaged from us mentally as well and that has impacted his performance.
Get his mind right and get on top of the injuries and he will go well.
I imagine that nearly all players would improve when they leave a footy club with a cancer culture.
I too think that Raz will be a great pick-up for whoever gets him. I know his trading stocks are low currently, but there’s a big upside in him. He’s quick, skilled and can kick a goal - and he’s one of those rare players who can kick-start momentum.
I’d be pressing for a fair bit based on what he can do and then meet somewhere in the middle. Hopefully, Adelaide gets involved to push his price up.
Have just heard Bassett has signed a 1 year extension at Port so looks like we are dealing with those prix
it was in the news here yesterday.
I think BT misses it too…the flog has barely played in 2 years.
Stephen Carter.
Technically.
Fun fact: He worked for me for about a year. I fondly remember being on the beers with him until 4am the night before he was nearly B.O.G. in the SANFL grand final.

The whole debate about whether razz is good or not can be answered by one question. Will you be happy if he lines up against us.
For me its a huge no. I can see him running rings around us.
Why? Because when fit he is a bloody good footballer who can change a game
