I think he is a good use of a list spot as he gives us a bit of depth across a few positions and I actually quite like him. But man, I’m really surprised they have picked him. A great opportunity to go with a smaller, better pressure forward line of a Laverde, Stewart, Stringer but instead they are doubling down on this system that clearly ain’t working. Either it’s particularly courages or just stubbornly stupid.

i dont really defend anything the dons have done the last 3 years, always despised worsfold, but Smack has never been given a chance to string games together cause our fckwit coaches give them 2 weeks max then push them back
i reckon he would be in our best 10 weekly given the chance as the game suits his style now

He had a BOG in the preseason against Richmond. I’d rate his performance against a 3/4 pace Richmond over anything he has done in the VFL any day. Theres limited positions for immobile KPs… at least he’s an athlete and offers a bit of tackle and ground ball pressure, more so than a Hooker or crocked Daniher would.
Will probably fit in well with most of our players these days.

With Daniher out for at least a month this is his chance to save his career.
I suspect Hooker will be back up forward meaning he’ll probably be attracting the number 3 defender. Needs to present hard and PRESSURE.
