F1 2024 Danny Ric is in an advertisement that kind of resembles Toro Rosso

Or not…

Weird that Ricciardo did that move because he was clearly in the hunt to get Tsunoda and had plenty of laps left to do so. Obviously he didn’t see it that way. Anyway, Ricciardo was very impressive post incident and made the most of the soft tyres and overcome the penalty. Thought 10 secs was harsh.

Russell was right to want to push and go for the softs as Riccardo did.

Overall it was an odd race with the interesting duels being for places 7 and below. Top 6 were grouped off: Ferrari by themselves and not challenging the top 4. And the Red Bull vs Mercedes duel over different tyre strategies never eventuating.

Race weekend highlight: Mexican vibe F1 theme song.

I don’t agree with Verstappen often but his boycott of Sky this weekend is absolutely fair. Ted Kravitz is an absolute sensationalist twat. He just can’t fathom that somebody beat Hamilton.

Is he the soccer hooligan sorta looking dude?

Nah he’s the nerdy socks and sandals type bloke that does the pit reports.

Argh Danny Ric! Took out Magnussen. Not going to be a great end to 2023 and perhaps his F1 career. Stewards will penalise him for Abu Dhabi, surely?

Well done George!

Crashtappen… what a flog

It’s been hard to be a DR fan recently.

Nice to see George get a win.

Max… What a flog.

I enjoyed that a lot. Exciting race. Surprising just the two retirements given how many times the elbows came out.

Russell had a big weekend and deserved the win.

Ferrari - very good race. Leclerc did well to fight back after the Norris incident. Although his plea for Sainz to give up his place was a bad look. Can’t justify that by taking away a podium. Especially since Sainz drove an excellent race. Up to him to beat Perez for 2nd place in last race - if he’s good enough.

Ricciardo… sigh

Payback for Perez deliberately (allegedly he admitted it to the team) crashing at Monaco to hold onto pole. Allegedly Max has confirmed that to the media.

Except for the bit where he was in 3rd place, not pole, at the time.

Seems like a crazy thing to do - deliberately crash to hold onto 3rd at the risk of going down to 5th? And the place where the crash happened is crazy dangerous. He’d just as likely have a car come around the corner smack into him and require a new component and start from the back of the grid.

I’m not really into conspiracy theories.

Sorry it denied Verstappen the chance to go for pole and he was quite upset about it at the time.

And just because you don’t believe in conspiracy theories doesn’t mean they didn’t happen. There is a reason Max said no and then told the team not to ask him again.

hes also got a history of being a bit o a ■■■■ bloke, so anything max uses to justify him being a prick should be taken with a mound of salt

Max is a massive douchebag but he’s the only thing stopping Hamilton from getting an 8th WDC.

I begrudgingly support.

Those two have had a season plagued with errors in judgment by the pit crew and the driver himself. Lots to sort out.
