McLaren’s off the pace so far and with some work to do
good thing when they had opportunities to secure a wdc for oscar, they had to service lando when their car was ahead of the pack.
It’s time for McLaren to prioritise Oscar to give him the best chance to win the championship. We can see it, the other drivers can see it but McLaren have got their heads in the sand. Max can come in hot towards the end of the season. This is one of his worst tracks and so far is qualifying better than both the McLaren’s.
Piastri got Lando. That’s a win

Is it that, or is that Verstappen is a very good driver and Russell pushed incredibly hard?
I’m not Capt. F1, but I don’t think Russell can replicate that for 50 laps.
McLarens were both giving away pace in all 3 sectors. I don’t think Russell can or will win but I do think other constructors have caught up

But they’ll win the constructors championship this week and, as I said, Piastri and maybe even Norris would take those final positions.
Russel is racing for his career. Both Mercedes with pace here. Max also has nothing to lose. Both McLarens made it through Q unscathed.
Massive advantage on this track. Absolutely the favourite at this point. Clean air is everything in Singapore.

Do we know why the last lap was so poor? Did he even complete it?
I was waiting for him to come over the line. Leading the championship and they just decided to skip any details about his last lap. I’m guessing he abandoned it at some point? I thought I heard the commentators saying he had not done a good first or second sector, then nothing.
That’s a spicy top 5 grid. Street circuit so the race will likely be ■■■■, will check the kayo mini tomorrow morning though.

Verstappen to jump Russell off the start, then a procession to the finish. McLaren will have to make a call on Piastri as the #1 driver and let him go for the title.
