Feels like he has definitely changed his driving style since getting the big lead, sort of gone into conservation mode, needs to get back to his earlier stronger driving style so he doesn’t end up losing the wdc

Hopefully Oscar has a get out clause. McLaren are all smug about things now as they have dominated the standings. Mclaren was still Oscar’s best chance to win the title despite the bias. When it all changes next year Zac is going to get Karma and Papaya rules are going to come back and bite him on the ass.

Because they won’t get rid of lando, he has been there from the start with the annoying American, was so funny when he was congratulating oscar over the radio and oscar pulled the headset out halfway

He is the best driver on the grid apart from Max.
He just has to stay at McLaren or go to Mercedes if Russell leaves.
All the podcasts and stuff on Sky was telling me that RUSSELL is the second best driver in 2025. I mean, he’s had a couple of good weekends, but that’s about it really.
Watch him have a whole heap of “mechanical issues” in the next few races.
If they continue to sabotage Oscar and he ends up out of the running for the title due to ‘assisting’ Lando into title contention, then I hope it ends up being a final race showdown between Lando and Verstappen for the title and on the last lap - Oscar puts Lando into the wall to give Max the title.

If he was that good he would have been signed a long time ago, although there isn’t really a team out to poach him so I suppose Merc are taking their time.
I rate him but he’s certainly not the 2nd best driver on the grid. Max with a fair bit of daylight to second. I would have Lewis, Leclerc, Oscar, Sainz in front of Russell. Lando on par with Russell, although I have a strong dislike for Lando so that maybe clouding my judgement of him.

Mercedes will be a front runner. McLaren currently use the Mercedes hybrid engine. The energy store is 120kw of overall power. Next year that changes to 350kw or 40%? That’s a huge change. Team tactics etc are going to be turned on their heads. Considering Mercedes is at the forefront of all of this you’d think they will have some sort of advantage.
Anyway will make it a completely different race. Melbourne will be very interesting.

Russell is employed and managed by Mercedes. This setup is not in Russell’s best interest.
Mercedes is Russell’s manager.
That’s probably why it’s taking so long.

Interesting thread on reddit listing mclarens favoritism, they have missed a few but pretty comprehensive, also missed mclarens blatant lying to oscar over the headset such as telling him they were pitting him to avoid a leclerc undercut, which was never going to happen with leclerc so far back, instead lando had asked them to pit lando first for his own benefit, stella the doubled down on the lie after the race.
Ive also noticed landos engineer is all over trying to get one up on oscar whereas oscars seems to be leading him down the garden path at times, pitting him early for no reason thereby losing a race to lando, suggesting more pitstops when that is just not how races are won these days
