F1 2025 Dude Where’s My osCar

Consistently 3 tenths slower in qualifying for the last 4 races I reckon. Other teams have picked up some pace too. Oscar doesn’t seem to have kept up.

It just seems so bizarre, that his car goes slower, at the same time as EVERY OTHER CAR in every other team is now going faster.

if we are to believe what we are being told oscar is very inexperienced on low grip tracks, it just so happens that austin and mexico are the two tracks that are the lowest grip on the circuit, even the experienced drivers were complaining about it being slippery.

If this is true we should see a big improvement from him in brazil and the tracks following, its very possible lando loses the freedom he has been driving with now that he is in the lead.

The slight concern is that oscar feels he drove the car well and he just cant work out why the times are slow. He also mentioned mclaren asking them to drive a bit differently the last few races and lando had adapted way better than he had. oretty sure this was only for the low grip tracks. will be interesting to see if oscar now has a bit of freedom given he is now the hunter.

Will be interesting to see, go oscar!

There is not a chance in hell that Oscar takes back the lead. McLaren just won’t allow it. The evidence is clear. Unfortunately

There is no way their cars are identical. They’ve sabotaged him.

Watch the team instructions demanding Oscar give priority to Lando now that the shoe is on the other foot.

“Lando, you need to give your place back to Oscar”

Pfft.

Very disappointing. Something happened at the start too with Oscar. Off the line well then third or fourth gear change he went backwards, well before the first corner.

Same with Q1 with no DRS.

Then Q2 with PU.

Then short a new soft for the race.

He said the dirt and grass from MV held him up turn 1

Does anyone know why oscar was on a 2 stop? no one does a 2 stop these days? would have finished 2nd on a 1 stop?

Max Verstappen and tyre deg

He wasn’t making ground on the mediums, but Verstappen was catching everyone on soft.

So the teams had to toss up an extra stop for new softs, versus getting mown down.

then one of the MERC he was trying to pass pitted for soft. Pisstri did the same, and came out in front.

I think then most of the field pitted again.

I think it allowed him to stay in the race

fair enough, looks like 7 teams did a 2 stop, just dont trust that stallard gives oscar the best strategy decisions

Watching all the replays, it’s pretty insane there weren’t more penalties dished out from those first few corners.

I get it, the cars need to be able to take evasive action, and in some cases hand a place back. But it’s a big advantage in the whole field, not just the cars around them.

Verstappen crashing into Hamilton and then not being able to make the corner was an indication he totally overcooked it. Leclerc similar.

Oscar in a funny video.

Maybe should be spending more time in a simulator…

Racesim place just opened near me.

Who would be the fastest blitzer?

I’d have a bash in the formula Renault again…

I did this in 2012. You’ll notice the car is poonting at the grandstand as im spinning off the track.

Even in motion sims it hurts a lot when crashing into walls.
