Hamiltion takes sprint pole marginally from antonelli. Oscar again on the wrong end of a 0.07 spread between 3rd and 7th

Sprint race starting now. My biggest hope is for Piastri to get Lando. Yeah I’m petty but that’s all we have this season hahahaha

Russell just drove past both Mclarens like they werent even there lol

Drivers who improved significantly for Race Qualifying:

  • Charles Leclerc: 0.417 s quicker

  • Kimi Antonelli: 0.276 s quicker

  • George Russell: 0.252 s quicker

  • Isack Hadjar: 0.089 s quicker

  • Arvid Lindblad: 0.062 s quicker

Drivers whose best lap actually came in Sprint Qualifying:

  • Liam Lawson: 0.789 s faster on Friday

  • Oscar Piastri: 0.260 s faster

  • Max Verstappen: 0.196 s faster

  • Lando Norris: 0.137 s faster

  • Lewis Hamilton: 0.082 s faster

Georgie Porgie lucky not to be out in Q3. Well done to Hadjar. McLarens struggling with single lap speed. Hopefully they start as well as they did in Sprint.

Unless you’re a Ferrari tragic, that was a spectacularly disappointing race.

Could have been exciting. Should have.
sigh

Could have had the last lap. I wanted Lewis to have a go to get 2nd back. Another crap ending, even for someone happy with two Ferrari on the podium. Feel for poor Kimi, bad luck kid

Piastri, Antonelli and Max.
The F1 Gods hate fun.

Refs/Umps ruin world sport.

Hasn’t been a great year for…organisers.

Surely you wouldn’t be hinting that FIFA and the FIA have a commercial interest and can somehow influence results. No….

yep - seeing the 2 Ferraris on the podium was very pleasing, and rapt for Leclerc to be back and getting a win. But it was a very disappointing way to end the race. Especially one that had a lot of action throughout.

Antonelli has been very unlucky twice now. Should be way ahead in the drivers championship.

You definitely wouldn’t want to see history repeat this year.

It would be frustrating for Kimi , but it’s the vagaries of motor sport - equipment failure is always a thing. And then there’s the whole someone crashing towards the end resulting in a safety car etc etc and suddenly it’s down to everyone bunching up and what advantage you had can be lost.

It feels unfair but it also adds tension and uncertainty.

Yeah, Hamilton would also feel very hard done by after that pit stop. Not sure Ferrari were switched on for that one.
