Sam Edmond reporting on SEN this morning that the Saints are preparing a 1.7mil x 7 year deal for TDK via Free Agency.
Surely he accepts that deal if the numbers are accurate.

What can FC realistically pay him, about half that? Saying no to an extra $800K or thereabouts a season for 7 years, there wouldn’t be many that would do that. Unless FC go back to the brown paper bags…

There was a patch in the middle of the season where he was changing games.
We may have even made the game against them interesting if he wasn’t there to completely dominate Goldy at the start of the last qtr.
Pittonet will only be 29 at the start of the '26 season who is decent.
There is zero chance they match the St.K offer.

Edit: Young TDK would be on around $1 m/season l reckon. Still no way the Blooos have the cap space to match such a bid, it this report is anywhere near accurate. It would also generate a bit of angst at the Saints from others on the list who are on a fraction of that amount. It will also leave their list management less wiggle room for negotiating new contracts for other required players going forward.
It’s Harley Reid type money, plus the fact they have a 29yo Marshall who is a better Ruckman than Forward (similar to TDK).
They may create the same problem for themselves as Freo are currently experiencing.
