Silvagni’s reputation as a List Manager guru based on being gifted a draft bounty at GWS is about to be tarnished if they end up sending Troy Menzel to Adelaide for Sam Kerridge and Pick 28. Then they will send Pick 28 to GWS for FOUR players who all can’t get a game. So in effect he’d have traded Menzel for five players, all of whom are fringe 22 at best. He’s so overrated as a list manager!

Either he can’t have been much chop as the GWS list manager if all these first rounders he took are getting bundled out the door for a pick in the 30s, or he’s not much chop as a Carlton list manager if he’s needing to fill massive gaps by raiding the bargains bin.

You look at all the top-end draft concessions they got, not just for one season, but two, how can you possibly stuff that up? They scooped the pool, so his rep has been made off the back of an unprecedented situation. The Carlton project is a far different kettle of fish, we will see now how good he is, and the early signs are not promising. I know I’d be ropable if we traded one of our best young players who was still under contract and by all reports content to stay at the club for 5 players who all have a question mark against them…

I reckon Carlton figures if the tigers are dumb enough to give pick 28 for Shaun Hampson, they may also be dumb enough to give up pick 12 for yarran. Reckon tigers were generous with 19 and I would value yarran in the 23 to 27 range.
Carlton have traded their ‘blues’ name with GWS to become the Carlton Giants. GW have delisted the blues saying it’s the most stupid name for a team ever.
