Fark carlton (Part 1)

He’s terrible anyway.
But this probably spells the end of his career.

Who?

even worse now

Disagree.

When he’s fit, he’s a guy who got in the bests once in 10 games in Carlton’s VFL side, and an ordinary AFL role player.

When he was a perenially injured GWS former pick 5, he was an open book of potential talent.

true- being perennially injured can help a career

It won’t get better if you Pickett.

Ouch. What a lousy Christmas this is going to be for the poor guy. Still it could have been worse, he might have ended up playing a few games for the Blooos next season, so we could say he has had a lucky if somewhat painful escape. Lesson learned.

If there was one club that can’t afford injuries…
Wonder who Adelaide will draft with pick #1?

are the Bloos still bragging about poaching Andrew Russell?

Think Adelaide might have to settle with Pick 2. Carlton would have to lose another 5 of their guns to grab the spoon off Gold Coast.

Haha, good one.

It’s a relative term. A gun at Fark Carlton is probably a good ordinary VFL player at most other clubs.

Except for Cripps who would be top 5 at any club

And that Curnow kid goes ok as well, he can football a bit.

And top 1 at most…

Hope the kid is ok.
pickett being out will have barely any impact on their 2019 season IMO. if they get another mature age rookie in, they might even be in a better position.

Docherty will hurt, this one not so much.
but yeh multiple knee injuries is not a good positon to be in.
is their training surface not up to scratch? or have they been very unlucky.

I remember back in the day when we trained at windy hill and ground was hard during summer as they were playing cricket matches on it.

Knees are dumb luck more than anything.

(With one or two provisos - some people have worse knees than others genetically, and if it’s gone once, you’re more likely to do it again)

Soft tissue stuff, and stress fractures/hotspots are more likely a symptom of management.

No chance FCFC ever lets him leave. they’d offer him $2.5mil before they let him go, and if he did, would be asking for 2 first rounders, Zach Merrett, Ricky Dyson and Kevin Sheedy as head coach
