If we took Munkarra at pick 3 does Davey get taken with our next e.g. 21 if someone bids on him? Remember Port bid on Daniher and we had to use our first rounder.
I haven’t seen him enough to say for sure but on talent I didn’t think he was far behind, people at Oakeligh think he is better than Alwyn aswell

Hasn’t worked like that in some time. We have to match with our next pick (or picks) until the value of those picks matches the AFL’s magic fairy dust determination of how much the bid is worth.
So if someone bid pick 10 on him and our next pick was 21, we’d have to give up that pick and something like a couple of picks in the 40s.

Tom Hawkins was the reason the AFL changed the rule from “3rd round pick” to “next available pick”.
Joe Daniher was the reason they changed it from “next available pick” to “obtuse points system”.

Use 1st Rd pick (looking top 10 at this stage) on best available or need

Match bid on Alwyn Jr (likely after our 1st Rd pick but before our 2nd Rd pick)

Match bid on Jayden (likely 3rd or 4th Rd given injuries)
Anything else I’ve missed or misinterpreted? If goes to plan seems like it can be a nice draft for us.
Sounds good but it’s not enough. For our younger supporters we need a Dusty, Bont of Danger type to keep them interested

We might also live trade to get Munkara. If we can get him before Alwyn Jr. is bid on.
