Favorite Places To Eat

Co Do is very good. Does great Bun Bo Hue which is spicy noodle soup.

Great, thanks for the recommendation. I had Bun Bo Hue in Saigon a few years ago and loved it, haven’t found a good place in Melbourne. I’ll definitely try it out

Just realised my proper answer to the question of the thread…

Need a recommendation for good Japanese place.

Sakura Kaiten, on Little Collins St. It’s a sushi train, not cheap but well worth it.

Had dinner at a Moroccan place in Hardware Lane on Wednesday night. Absolutely magnificent!

Where?

Our go-to local Japanese is Yokoso Izakaya in Northcote.
Its casual but quality.

Tookaiya on Keilor Rd goes alright.

Koko At Crown is still a fav of mine.

I really like Matsuya in Fairfield.

For absolute top shelf Japanese it has to be Minimishima. Ridiculously good, but 180 per person.

Used to go to Matsuya a lot.
Might save up & try Minimishima!

I’ve never even noticed it!
I’ll try it out.

Thai recommendations around Essendon way?
Not my usual cuisine and know little about places.
Need a nice environment, good food. Cost irrelevant.

I used to go to the one on Buckley St opposite Essendon Keilor College, between St Kinnord and Beaver IIRC. Might be in the next block west, but not sure.

Anyone been to Dexter in Preston?

Just had lunch at a Korean chicken place in Geelong called BB Chicken And Pub. It’s fantastic. Food is great and 15 different beers on tap.

If the planets of you liking chicken and beer and being in Geelong align give it a go.
