This one is for the 2000s and what a great decade it was (imho)

2001 - Amélie (my fave film of the decade)
2002 - City Of God
2003 - Lost in Translation (despite moving to Japan the same year, I saw this at a cinema on holiday in Paris in early ‘04. It was confusing as hell walking back onto the street afterwards.)
2004 - Before Sunset (my fave of the trilogy)
2005 - Good Night and Good Luck
2006 - The Lives Of Others
2007 - No Country For Old Men
2008 - The Dark Knight
2009 - (500) Days Of Summer

Fantastic movie, Jez-san. Sofia Coppola nailed her second directorial effort. A film of ethereal beauty. Wonderful casting and performances. Great soundtrack.

I still trip out that we moved to Japan in the same year. 16 years is a long time.

I was going to go with Twighlight, but thought it was better to stay hidden in the crowd.

Donnie Darko, High Fidelity, Eternal Sunshine… couldn’t even get some of my favourite movies in my list.

Anyone who doesn’t have the dark knight as their top choice for 2008 can tongue my nuts

A week ago, I took a 7 hour road trip with the little fella. First DVD he requested via my car’s sat navi system was Shrek. Murphy, as the donkey, was so fckn funny. I almost crashed. :joy:
