Financial planners, retirement planners advice wanted

Will need the funds by late April at the latest. How is the $520 figure calculated? I can’t work it out in either 120 or 130 increments…i

On July 1 the concessional cap will jump from 30K to 32.5K. Non-concessional is four times that = 120K to 130K.

So, correction: if done this year you could do 120 + 3x130 = 510 (not 520K as originally quoted).

Again, each, if you are both eligible and have not used up any of that non-concessional cap previously and have sufficient space in your lifetime contributions cap into super.

Downsizer is on top of, and entirely separate from, the non-concessional.

Ok gotcha now. The 120 would be pre June 30, and the 390 would be post July 1.

And zero tax implications? Sounds too good to be true

Also have a think about how you can use this change to drastically lower your “death tax” from superannuation.

Search term for that is “recontribution strategy”.

Strategy seems sound. Planner will do pesky tax calculations for you.
