I was on platform 1 (hurstbridge line) and did see this car speed past through an entrance. I hope people are not too badly injured.

Four or five years ago, I used that intersection every day.
The big danger to pedestrians was cyclists riding straight through red lights.
It happens so frequently that I assume itās legal.

I was hoping it was an accident or possibly something like a heart attack. This is a terribly worrying trend.
Went to flinders street 5 minutes after it happened. At the time police were just starting to block off the road and l was more concerned they wouldnāt let me cross the road to catch my train, but quickly realised something major had occurred. Every time l cross that road l canāt help thinking its only a matter of time before something happens again.
Yeah, donāt think you travel that far if the car is āout of controlā. Unfortunately.
(The ātragedy/terror pornā angle the media pursue is a pretty disappointing element of this trend as wellā¦)
I was on the platform when this occurred. The car that appeared to be the psycho didnāt raise suspicions with me - it flashed past. However the black police car revving at high speed did. I didnāt see any impacts as it was out of my view.
I had no idea what occurred but there was a fairly stressed lady on the train saying her foot was brushed.
The picture of the suspect in the age showed a guy looking roughly like the English spinner on tour. Iām only commenting on appearance and have no info of motive or nationality.
Fair chance we know the motives. Wonder if the media will report it

I havenāt caught up with any of the details yet so the only report I heard was car hit pedestrians at the crn of Flinders & Liz & initially at least they didnāt give any indication it was deliberate or if it was terrorism.
Already about 10 phone videos from random people up on the HS. Havenāt looked at the other papers.
