Slater was a jobber, but he was very very courageous and a decent small defender at times.we just had no depth in that role for years.
The issue was they had him taking kick outs at times, or even using him as a rebounding defender at times which wasn’t suited to him at all
I remember he did a few decent lockdown jobs in midfield

I think it’s more that most at SEN are repulsed at the idea of a full forward being under 6’2 so they had to scroll down until they found one.
