Would we really say he βwants out?β
Not really like the others.
Well he does want out. Itβs just Essendon wanted out first

A somewhat relevant Seinfeld reference.

Oh didnβt show anything on my phone
GWS acquisition of our players last 2 years is baffling.

I blame a lingering Sheedy influence at GWS.

Will never question his effort but itβs a sensible time to move on me thinks.

Merrett asked Scott why Stringer and Laverde werenβt being offered 2 year contracts for the next 2 years.
I think Scott said β¦because theyβre β β β β .

GWS will give him some freedom and not necessarily play him as a key position player in defence. He came as a mid. Though heβs no champion I always love the effort he puts in every week and he , Draper and Stringer were probably the only bigger bodied players with a bit of physicality about them ( add Voss but he never played one senior game). The reason he went to play as a KPD was because we had no one else, but he was not big enough to play on those much taller forwards. I really wish Lav all the best as I know he tried his guts out for us. Love you Lav.

Coupled with him not being up to it as a forward or mid.

His set shot kicking as a forward gave me nightmares.

Jack Gunston is on the rookie list this year. Itβs ridiculous it still exists

Iβm curious what type of forward people think you could play him on?
Too short for the big monsters like Hawkins/Thilthorpe or resting rucks, no mobility for the smalls, too slow and immobile for those hybrid medium forwards or resting mids like Green/Petracca/Dangerfield etc.
Unfortunately, imo, he can only play on the resting monsters because thatβs where he gets found out the least (and itβs still a lot).
Goodluck to him and well done on extending a very unlucky career, but heβs a solid indicator of a 3+ goal game for his direct opposition.
Now youβve done it, acknowledging Lavβs effort is like a month to a flame for the rabid mob on hereβ¦. even as in the next breath youβre saying that itβs time he goes.
