He’s good defensively, but a terrible person
Saad is a good general defender, in terms of peeling off.
He’s always had some trouble with direct opponents.
From his Essendon days, i remember him looking less than comfortable on Stephenson, Cameron, Gray etc…
For Carlton, Keays has made him look quite foolish at times.
Saad is a very good player, but i wouldn’t swap him for McGrath.

Defensive loss percentage (ping @Paul_Peos ) has gone from 16 in 2021 to 26 in 2022 to 33% this year.
With that said I feel like his last month has been a whole lot better than his start to the year.

Yes. Tsatas appears to have a working, calculating brain between his ears.
For context, that 33% equates to a grand total of 2 1 on 1 losses for the season.

The AFL player ratings can be even more erratic at times but I think is the most accurate for rating players over a season.
LOL. They take no account of how a player does defensively or how effective their disposal is.

Yeah intervepts and bounces and kicks long (looks like a million dollars…
But has poor disposal, often kicks straight to the opposition and ball goes over his head before he even gets back to man up his opponent in the backline.
Best place Carlton could play him is wing / HFF when his ■■■■ kicks can go deep into F50.
Have you seen the rest of their side kick the footy ?
Saad’s leg is a weapon.
Might not have an array of kicks, but still damaging.
He’s good but not great.
Worth more than we paid for him from GC, not what FCFC paid for him.

I’m pretty sure they are both the same.
Especially when you look at the match day stats from the AFL website.
They do have another metric, but that’s not available on match day stats.

No, they are completely different and both are available in the match day stats but player ratings are only available at the end of the game, not during.

Absolutely he will be kept IMO
In our best side presently. Our small running defender depth is limited and Lord will surely be cut
Other experienced defender wise, Hep likely retire and Kelly has the concussion issues
