Former #21 Dyson Turner-Heppell

So many have said we are a rabble and Merrett should consider leaving. Me included.

I guess how would he make that happen? Ask nicely? That isn’t realistically going to work.

So he has done what he has done.

It’s a shame that he wants to leave as it will tarnish his legacy. Whatever value that has or is/was.

Heppell has commented publicly that North went after him pretty hard around the saga time. But he never met with them. That was the closest he’d got to considering moving

How bloody good.

Awesome that he went back to his home town club and won a flag with his brother. Certainly well deserved after the crap we put him though.

This man needs to be our captain again.

He clearly still has enough talent in him

I’m really glad he’s getting some joy from his footy. He deserves it.

Yeah, what is that?

From what I can tell, there’s the Gippsland League best on ground (Stan Aitken Medal) and then there’s also an “AFL Victoria Country Medal” that gets handed out at all the various different Victorian country league grand finals.

Well done Dys!

But I thought he was playing at Port?

How does Hepps qualify to play this if he has played VFL all year?

He must have played the minimum number of games to qualify.

Plenty of byes in the VFL season to head to local league and have a kick.

Played 4 regular season games.

These are Gippsland Football Leagues “laws” on finals eligibility.

Michael Barlow will be playing for North Warrnambool next week. With all the byes in the VFL, there are plenty of games to qualify for your country club.

That’s happening with VFL players all over Victoria.
