I’d say Baldwin has more or at least equal currency to Reid, and I believe North and the Bulldogs are both interested in Baldwin who currently remains uncontracted. I really do hope we put an offer on the table for him soon…
Another club will make a big play for Baldwin with more money and a longer contract, it will be another D’ambrosio situation, bookmark it.
In terms of a trade, their values are not in the same postcode.
Baldwin gets us absolutely nothing if he goes, a fourth round pick. Out of contract off a one year deal and another significant injury, with pretty much no historical data to support any projections and limited upside.
Truth is, he isn’t worth ■■■■.
Reid, despite everything, still gets you a second round pick.
Something was up with Baldwin today. Not sure if he was ill but he looked fatigued or in some discomfort. Tried to run it off with repeat runs but could not get into a sprint and hunched over after any run. Was having constant dialogue with health and fitness coaches and it just came across as not feeling well rather than a particular injury.
Has he been doing any decent running in the last few weeks?
He looked like he was doing full training this morning.

Defender Kaine Baldwin has suffered a setback after pulling up with some ankle soreness following training last week.

Further investigation showed a minor irritation of his previous navicular bone stress injury, meaning he will need to briefly deload before ramping his training up again in the coming weeks.

Cursed
Fark me.
Lav really is at the right club isn’t he.
Between Reid and Baldwin we get nothing.
Get ■■■■■■ Essington…
Stallion isn’t going to take this well
Maybe the medical staff need to live an elite AFL lifestyle instead of the players
Absolute bummer this one. Poor bloke can’t seem to get a decent run at it.
Baldwin must be so frustrated, he has done everything he can in the pre-season to have a massive year and try and prove himself at AFL level and this happens. Fitness staff or facilities or even both need a very serious review for all these re-occurring long term injuries
Essendon’s fitness and conditioning department is what actually stands in the way of winning finals. Its as simple as that…
He’s unfortunately going to find it difficult to still be at the club next year. Injuries are killing him
Well that and the imbalanced list.
But even a bog average list can win a final. This just makes it even harder.
