Former #26 Kaine Baldwin

Sure. But the chances of that happening can’t realistically be that high.

He might be a forward but at 194 he’s hardly a tall. Sounds like a natural forward too and not sure any of the new talls could be described that way.

But if we were weighing him up for a rookie spot, surely training with us was a better option than NEAFL?

I personally don’t really care.
In a rebuilding phase like this i reckon just get good players. Then balance out the list later.

Plus maybe they’ve decided Cox is more likely to be a winger long term so they’ve got 1 less true tall than they thought they had

Could say that about any player taken anytime. Seems like the kid has talent and we swooped, won’t be lamenting missing out on the mid season draft if he is able to fulfill his potential.

Both can get up the ground but that’s the only similarity. Baldwin is a far better contested marker where as Jones is the better athlete and more versatile

He’s on a one year contract and the season will be almost over by then. VFL most certainly.

Seems a strange signing.

Was a last minute decision for us by the sounds of it and came out of the blue

Not if they can use that time to get him right, he shows potential and we then sign him for 3 years.

So they could co-exist in the same forward line. Noice.

Oh for sure I think they would have an excellent dynamic

Hows he going to show potential when he’s rehabbing and not playing?

nah it’s the new norm apparently. he just has to turn up in september in any shape and apparently we will offer him another contract, just cos.

Think what we did with Johnson. We take a talent we rate for nothing. Rehab him for a year and bank him for 2022.

On the track and in his rehab, match sim as he progresses into main training. Progressing into some VFL. Heaps of opportunity.

Like this selection. Good news story to give a young kid a break. Got to think that has a positive impact on the group. He may be the last tall we draft for 3 years…

Ahhh

‘All 18 clubs have already reached their minimum quote of 37 listed players but two spots remain open for the Bombers along with the possibility of a third by moving Irving Mosquito onto the long-term injury list after his ACL injury in 2020.’

From Foxfooty.

So we still have a pick in the midseason draft.

My bad Odoyle, I’m fine with it then.

Johnson was part of our academy so he was more of a known quantity.

Wasn’t he signed up for two years?

Fair enough. Tbh I had no idea either way. I just like the idea that we have gone and got a talented kid. Can’t hurt.

Now please,I’m not comparing talent.

But he’s got a little bit of Lloyd about him the way he times his marks from the back, and charges out hard.

Eyre n Baldwin.

The new Lucas n Lloyd!
