Crows fans reckon his kicking is elite and no one else can hit a opposition player on the chest as often as he does
Surely heâs best 22 if he was in the starting lineup for 2017 Crows GF team?
Sure they are, just like we say the same thing about Saad.
Iâm serious, they love every other part of his game and his endeavour but just donât let him kick it
Whatâs his speed like?
Cutlers new job is to play 5 meters off Kelly at all times and demand a handball receive, before lasering a 50 meter bullet to a leading Harry Jones.
His job is to be a lockdown defender, it is Hind/Ridleyâs job to run the ball out and deliver it well.
I will add that Heppell isnât a brilliant kick, but even he ran at 100% kicking efficiency at times this year! itâs all about who you deliver it to and where.
Sounds like a Baguely type.
Ask Nadia Bartel
I agree though the knock on him is he panics with the ball
He will win or halve most of his contests which is what we want but we just have to make sure he has support when he gets it. People went nuts when Stewart fluffed his kicks, Kelly is worse by foot so be prepared for the odd howler
He might not of been. His manager might have approached us.
Has a go home factor.
Heâs 190cm an 90kg, and Crows supporters have question marks on his pace and kicking. Apart from âlockdownâ he doesnât really sound much like Baguley to me (although Iâve barely seen him so I reserve judgement until then).
Smart strategy, take adelaides third tall defender so they are lacking in that area and they will then be more inclined to do a trade for francis for a later pick.
We need him to give those short sideways kicks to Ridley, Reid & Hind.
Really?
Stewart this season
Effective kicks: 6.1
Kicking Efficiency: 76.5
Overall Disp Efficiency: 80.8
Kelly:
EK: 8.5
KE: 79
DE: 83.8
Stats donât tell the whole truth.
I donât think Stewartâs disposal is as bad as many make out. He probably takes the wrong option a bit too often
Maybe not, but they certainly bring into question the statement that Kelly is worse by foot than Stewart. If he was worse by foot then it would show. And your last sentence doesnât help Stewartâs cause as much as you want it to. (not that I am having a go at Stewart btw)
Will be an interesting defensive group next season. In terms of our 22:
Key Defnders: Stewart, Laverde
3rd tall/interceptor: Ridley
Rebounding HBs: Redman, Hind
Possession accumulator/sweeper: Heppell
Intercept marking/60m dart kicking God: Cutler
Lockdown small/medium defender: Kelly
Thatâs probably our 8-man defence. Whether Cuts is considered a HB or a defensive wingman who knows? But they would be the roles.
Not sure that Cutler will make the cut.

Was ranked 7th in the league for disposal efficiency in 2018 so he mustnât be horrific.
