So he wouldn’t hate to be right?
2 of his goals are hilarious. Marking the ball off his head and that weird snap where he fumbled it into the air. Needs to work day and night on his ball handling
Seems that way
Easy tiger
MarK Lecras, he was genuinely good small forward. 12 goals v essendon
Very good footballer.
Jesse Hogan won the Coleman last year with a 3 goal average.
The first guy I’d consider an equivalent small forward in 2024 was Stengle, he got 46 in 25 games. Less that 2 a game.
If Menzie gets a 2 goal average he’s killing it.
Yes. I know.
I think it’s entirely reasonable to question whether he is a long term option for that position. He makes the sorts of errors that kill you in finals.
But… he has just had his clear best game for the club, let’s all hope this gives him the belief and confidence that he can make it at this level. We might see a different player.
Just don’t see it with this guy. Sure he kick a few goals but still looks like a panic merchant when close to goal.
I think it’s pretty clear he’s only in because Langford is out and we have to use Durham midfield almost exclusively to cover for Caldwell parish and tsatas
McGrath McKay Reid
Redman rids Roberts
Duursma parish Martin
Draper Caldwell Durham
Merrett caddy gresh
Perkins Langford Kako
Seh tsatas Shiel 2mp? - Hobbs
I think something like that is arguably our best possible side this year in the wake of Bryan’s injury
Don’t all players do that as a matter of course?
I’m not sure we have the luxury of not playing a bloke who “kicks a few goals”, no matter what he looks like
I noticed you don’t have shiel in the backline

…or prior
Is Parish best 22 this year still? He hardly had a preseason, is continually injured and coming from a long way back now.
Possibly not, I’m thinking he’s a chance to feature from mid season but there’s every chance this season is a wash for him
I disagree, we’ve yet to surround parish with good outside users, him feeding martin, merrett, roberts, even saad and kako
Is Parish best 22 this year still?
Not right now, ATM he is at the bottom of the midfield pecking order and will need to do a power of work to make his way back into the 23.
The “Ooh… ahh… Mark LeCras, say ooh aah Mark Lecras” from the crowd at that game still haunts me…
I couldn’t really work out the rotations on TV but it looked like Prior spent most of the game deep down back whereas Roberts and SEH (after he came on) were rotating sort of between a half back and a defensive wing role.
My assumption was that Duursma was running one wing and we had a few guys playing the other one I assume with the aim of keeping Langdon honest. Hard to say from the armchair.
I thought Prior was pretty good tbh, last week and this week. Feels like he’s playing his way into my 22 but then again SEH has been really dynamic and gives us a different look and I nearly gave Roberts votes this week.
I suppose if we have an 8 man rotation which includes the three small backs, a defensive winger and a bench rotation you can fit McGrath, Redman, Roberts, SEH and Prior into the same team.
Martin started wing a bit and often dropped behind play as a spare. The comms said he called Jones up to take his man.
I feel with 3 genuine talls 2 mediums (Redman and prior) is too much and the balance would be better with seh.
