Did pretty well to claw his way from growing up in Halls Creek to getting on an AFL list. But sure, he’s probably a lazy unprofessional young bloke with very few obstacles in his life.

I think that’s a reasonable assumption. Had we picked up another small forward on top of Kako coming in, like a Joe Richards or Matt Owies, then he probably gets cut. He’d want to have one hell of a pre-season to get himself anywhere near senior footy in 2025.

Wonder if we were waiting to see what was happening with Konstanty/another small we were looking at.
I’m happy if we give him another year, showed a little bit at times.
But at the same time, List Lodgements not due for a while (and no mention of a new contract yet). Maybe waiting for the DFA window to see what happens with a Charlie Clarke or similar?

Ruthless Rosa, surprised it took so long but good decision (delisteind Weideman).
I don’t mind Baldwin and Jayden battling for SSP Spots now.
Weideman probably a chance to be picked up by Collingwood, more durable than Eyre.
How did we get the Davey’s so wrong?
Clearly not AFL level. Says something about our scouting as even the people I know who watched the boys at Xavier weren’t overly impressed.
I know we only gave up picks 45 & 54 but even so…

It was probably worth the risk. Just to see if Jayden could get over the injury and come good (as he’s the good twin).
Davey has been delisted? Or are you just stating a preference?
How can you reasonably assess Jayden? We’ve tried junior enough that I’m happy if people have made their mind up, but Jayden has been recovering from a knee reconstruction and has only found his feet in the VFL.
That’s not ‘getting it wrong’, that’s following a process of rehab and initial development as a senior player. He might not make it, but we should keep an open mind now.

Wow I’d totally missed Charlie Clarke was out of contract! I would love to get him in the sash.
He played with a lot of aggression and swagger as a junior, it was very fun to watch. He has had a good vfl season as well 23.13 from 17 matches and averaged 4.4 tackles.
That would be a good steal and odd choice by the dogs

The part with the Jayden I didn’t agree with was we deliberately took him in the main draft when he wasn’t bid on we could have let him slip through and he would have been on the rookie list or cat b can’t recall.
This then would have opened a extra main list spot for us to use
