Big preseason for him coming up, better if the two brothers imo
Needs both to be super fit and firing come start of the season

Could be the most exciting thing we will see next year if both Davey’s are playing alongside each other in our AFL team.
Very exciting, highly doubt it will be next year though, both needs a good year in the VFL to develop their crafts
Disagree, I think it’s time to get games in to them.
The last thing you will see is Jayden in the AFL next year. They guy has missed way too much football. He has to spend a year finding his rhythm, focus, strength and touch in the VFL.
There are way too many variables to come straight out and say that he won’t play any AFL next year, has someone from the club indicated that he won’t play AFL in 2024 ?
Come off it, he hasn’t played footy for 2 years.
You could say the same for coz and Perkins too, very limited football in the 2 years prior, both played round 1 from memory.
I’m not saying jayden will be afl ready by round 1, but I wouldn’t be writing off the year yet.
I don’t think it’s unreasonable to see Jayden playing AFL by the last month of next year, assuming form is good. From what I can see, he’ll basically have a full pre-season to return. Obviously he needs the first half of the year to get match fit.
Predictions after his medical history are difficult. If per chance he were to ‘carve it up’ in pre-season practice matches, he could easily be fast-tracked to start senior footy in the first half of the season. Just depends.
He’s coming from a long way back.
If I had to put money on him getting game at AFL level in 2024, I’d be more likely to lose my money than not.
Add on top of that, we have a coach who is unlikely to play players unless they are ready. And his ‘ready’ is a different bar to the majority on Blitz.
Menzie, Guelfi and Wanganeen are ahead of him. And that’s before we draft or sign anyone (Gresham). If there are injuries, we’d lean towards Davey Jnr before Jayden. And are more likely to go with an extra medium sized forward than a small if he isn’t available.
If he plays and earns it, then we are in a very good position. But I just don’t see it happening.
I’m looking forward to seeing him play in the VFL. From all reports, he has genuine small foward craft, which our team lacks big time.
Would love to seem him kick 20 goals and lay lots of tackles.
If his form is good enough he should play AFL. Like any other player on the list. Putting limits on what he can and cannot do is nonsense.
Blummers … he’ll come from that long way back. He is class this man. And if we’re smart we’ll have ADJ, Menzie and Tex all buzzing around the goals this time next year alongside him.
But you might chance your arm, if the odds were good…
He won’t start in the ones but if he gets 10 or 12 games in the 2s and is fully fit and is playing well he could play seniors. I won’t be expecting it, but who knows
Guelfi might not be here and Wangas is already injured and will be lucky to be fit by Rd 1.
Wanganeen is ahead of no one, he’s about the least likely of the lot
Guelfi is contracted and until he’s delisted or traded, he’s ahead of Davey.
Whilst Wanganeen is injured, I’d back him to be ahead of Davey in the pecking order and playing better at VFL level.
It’s not rocket science. There’s a high probability that Davey doesn’t play in AFL next year.
Doesn’t mean he won’t. I’m just not expecting it.
Hopefully he performs well enough to warrant staying on the list.
So when 2 of 3 of Wanganeen, ADJ and Jayden turn out to be busts, we can’t blame Dodoro can we?
