Former #39 Patrick Voss - false messiah

Big bag of 1 from Vossy tonight.

To his credit, he was up against a full strength defence.

Good luck to Voss, he had some good moments tonight and has has done ok this year. Still don’t think he’s any great loss though and I don’t think I’d play him before Wright, Caddy or even May.

Whether you think his game tonight was good, bad or otherwise Voss is a more than serviceable player.

All these kids getting opportunities for us now, every one coukd see Voss deserved his chance with us.

Langford also out with another soft tissue injury too by the way.

He huffed and he puffed and he… kicked less than our second gamer who has been at the club for 3 weeks. He got a good looked at Nate though, I’m sure he was impressed.

Against a VFL backline and they’re talking about him as being the difference out there and a Smokey possibility for the brownlow.

He was delisted for a reason…….

I think forcing him to play second ruck took him away from goals a bit.

And you could add if he kicked straighter could have had 3 like Jackson and Treacy.

He won the fights and also won the best celebration of the night.

The ex tigers guy won flog of the night though. Shai Bolton.

A smokey for the Brownlow? Except for that little matter of a 3 week suspension.

And obviously a side that will play finals this year sees something in him.
I dare say he is very happy and very content to get out of our garbage system and into one that whilst not flag contenders will still play finals

Can’t believe people are so triggered by Voss.

He wasn’t wanted at Essendon and enjoyed sticking one up them.

I sure would have in his situation.

I think he’s a C grader with a couple of stand out attributes (physical beast with a voracious appetite for the contest, and nice burst speed for his size). He absolutely should have gotten a debut and fairer crack with us, especially considering what we wheeled out and were lacking.

The fact that people enjoy sticking the boots into a kid WE DELISTED who is enjoying making a fair fist of resurrecting his career off the scrap heap is pathetic.

I think it’s mostly a reaction to the “clubs farked, look how good Voss is!” posts.

Yep, we delisted him and he has found a role at a club that will play finals.
Will probably end up playing in more winning finals than Merrett :face_with_symbols_over_mouth:

Seen Vossy act like he did last night 15 times in Essendon VFL. Thats who he is and why fans here liked him. Club knew he had limitations as a player. Glad he got a chance with Freo. For all the media his stats is avg 10 disp, 3 marks and a goal this year. 20-25 goals will be a good outcome for him but i still sense thats maybe his ceiling.
