He is just waiting until after we finish the trade period. Still a chance to be on the list.
I think i heard there is a minimum salary requirement now though for each player.
From a purely physical point of view he meets a need that we have for a marking high forward. Certainly started with a bang in the reserves.
Probably a few minus marks on some possible dishonesty around his physical condition. It may depend on what the club feels is on offer in the draft.
I am totally fine if we do not offer him a contract.
Hundred percent agree with this, clubs shouldnāt have to pay a minimum on the cap as that just equates to paying players that donāt deserve it and there should no cap on list sizes meaning scrap the rookie list or leave the rookie list as purely for indigenous or nga outside of the cap
The players negotiated that as part of one of the deals.
I guess thatās the problem the players have far too much power
Not much harm offering him 1 year contract and if he is injured through the firat half of the season, he gets delisted for a mid season draft pick.
Understand that his list spot may be required for another player, but I do see plenty of potential in a fit Hunter.

Must be that powerful union they have ![]()
I guess thatās the problem the players have far too much power
Given that without them there is nothing to watch, that statement is debatable.
Sign him up ASAP EFC ⦠before he gets poached.
The VFL game v FC (from memory) and the goals he pinged, as easy as you like was clear. Heās got natural instinct and forward talent.
I guess thatās the problem the players have far too much power
The players have less power than employees in almost any other industry, when it comes to actually choosing who they work for. Theyāre compensated in other ways of course, but itās a well-known fact that the CBA and draft/trade system is so overly restrictive as to be wildly illegal, and it only exists because everyone involved agrees (so far) that the goose is too valuable for anyone to go to court or to the FWC over it and risk the supply of golden eggs.

So offer him a 6 month contract ![]()
Iām with you JD, need to get him signed up. I think he has great forward craft, can kick straight and has a great set of mitts. I understand itās only a small sample size.
How many list spots do we have swinging?
Would be an upgrade on Voss (who I also want signed up, sorry Snell but youāre gone)
We currently have one free list spot as it stands if sheil gets traded that would two then itās between Snelling Voss and Hunter who gets the chop
Or all 3 get the chop
Yeah thatās true as well

Are you counting BZT and Mass as outs? By my count weāll have 2 free spots if they both get traded and Duursma is traded in
Everytime this thread gets bumped I get excited for nothing, if weāre only keeping one of three Iām hoping like hell itās Hunter
We have kept players on our list who have shown much less for much longer than Hunter. Surely he gets another year.
Iād pick Hunter if i had to choose
(Thatās to keep Hunter, If that wasnāt clear)
