Maybe Do Not Disturb
do not delist?
done n dusted?
dodoroās next delisting?
Pretty sure it means āDid Not Departā in airport speak which makes some sense.
OK, so not dungeons nā dragons
In your TV room while you watch the VFL?
So long as he doesnāt go full Irving Mosquito and put on 10kg of fat, youād think he should be a decent chance of getting another year. Heās a different KPF in terms of being a power/strength type player, and the fact that Weid is looking as a likely delisting at seasonās end, having Hunter on the books makes sense.
yeh I think we need to move to melbin boodsy
to watch our 2025 triumphant return to the top
live and uninterrupted by internet outages.
but whatāll we do about the weather?
Thatās a good idea.
Good question about the weatherā¦. I donāt think there is a good answer
Iād be a bit surprised if he isnāt delisted.
I like what he may be, but itās going to be another two years (assuming a clean bill of health post this injury) before we actually know if he is AFL quality or not. This seems like one where a club will just cut their losses and move on to the next potential talent.
I hope he isnāt, though - I like what Iāve seen of him at VFL level.
Are you suggesting putting him on LTI list for next season? That doesnāt work, that rules him out for 2025.
We can use his spot this year for a MSD pick.
But next year he will be a 3rd year rookie and will have to be re-instated on the rookie list or delisted
I feel like him staying on the list will come down to if jones and caddy are developing and if they take someone better in the mid season draft.
I want him to make a run at it because he is a genuine full forward type but the injuries make it hard for a club to hold on
Not just weid but a matured body stringer replacement necessary in the next, as good as his form is he may only have 2yrs left
Last guy to get a contract on the list last year whoās never played senior footy and only 2 VFL games does worst conceivable injury and ⦠gets another contract?
No chance. Itās tragic but heās gone. Only thing that could save him would be if we could do LTI shenanigans where he gets a spot on the list that doesnāt exist and we take another SSP, but I donāt know how his recovery timeline tracks with the relevant windows.
Why? How old is Hawkins and still bagging goals? It is a matter of deft fitness management. Other clubs do it with their older brigade. Letās not burn Jake out.
Just from the few games of VFL I saw last year and as long as he is professional with his recovery Iād try and keep him on the list for another year.
Weideman will 100% be delisted so if we cut Hunter our key forward depth will be light on. I think this will save him and give him another year to prove he can stay on the park.
We can go out and get someone else to be depth in this position, someone without the injury history Hunter has. I think that is what might do him in.
I think what could save him is if the talent pool for his role is limited. Thereād be no point taking backward steps for the sake of waiting another 12 months in a role that is really only depth at this point.
Dodoro is still in charge on list management, so maybe not a given.
Weideman is 27 same age as Parish, so still has a few years left at the top level, if a club is interested.
Maybe he cuts Hunter and Keeps Weid f its just a depth position. Although LAV is contracted and could provide some depth next year.
All last year Scott talked about playing Weid and Wright together, and they only got a few games and it went badly for Weid.
Draper & Wright is a more dangerous setup, and we have jones and Caddy too fit in as well.
Weideman should be looking for another club elsewhere and he might get a chance given the lack of talls at opposition clubs like the Pies.
Iām still not sure if we play Bryan and Draper together once Godstein retires. maybe we add Bryan and Vissenti to the list of forward options too. Vigo kicked a couple of goals last week. And get rid of Hunter + Weideman
