See… I could not give the very slightest of farks what he has to say. He’s every bit as much of a BS artist as Brad Scott is, and he had us off as supporters for 20 years.
Sheedy was brilliant without a shadow of a doubt but, by jesus… him foisting Dodo on us is a dirty black stain (and the failure of the club to do anything about it until way too late… well, that’s another story…)

My take on Hobbs is that he was played out of his preferred position largely because he wasn’t good enough at his preferred position.

Noting that 11 of the rest of the 30 kids picked played 50 games, two of which were other picks by us (Zerk & Guelfi).
5 have played 100, and one of them is Guelfi, too.
I’m not sure if any of these were Rookie elevations, too, if that was still a thing.
Who said anything about a Brownlow? Dudoro couldnt even fill the list with serviceable players. Zerk was a good honest tryer, but as a key forward, couldnt handle anyone remotely bigger than him, and Guelfi is a talisman of mediocrity.
