It will be interesting to watch the team dynamics between Scotty and Yassir.
It’s not her leaving that’s the stuff up. It’s the failing to understand that she would go do the draft if we didn’t trade her element to it. We should have had something in return.
Its also the time where we should be looking to be adding to the talent on our list, so not attracting any proven talent through the trade period and losing two talented youngsters is a poor result.
I’m not saying we should have kept Paige but I would have thought the club would work harder at attracting talent in first and foremost and been able to read the play that Scott was going anyway so take what you can get.
In the end we have lost a former pick 4 with years of development put into her and a highly talented yet inconsistent player for pick 8, without attracting any proven talent into the club. When it would have been the perfect time to add in some talent to the list to have us competing with the top 4.
Just a really poor trade period where the basics weren’t delivered on.
I think pick 8 for Clarke was fine. No issues with that deal.
I suspect Essendon put way too much value on Scott and Richmond told us to suck eggs.

usually when a players wanted theres lots and lots and lots of noise about wanting to keep that player, when theres ■■■■ all noise, the club got an outcome they’re not disappointed with.
time will tell.
personally i found paige the most frustrating player on our list, zero discipline, free kick giving merchant
