Ella Hooper did a pretty good version years ago but it’s fraught with difficulty because the song is literally carved out by Amphletts persona bleeding into her vocals. If you sing it clearly then it doesn’t sound right, and if you copy Chrissy’s tones then it’s just an imitation.

There’s some shocking covers coming out. Of songs you’d think there’s barely any value in reinventing them.

P&P should be stamped as never to be redone unless you sound like you just sucked on 30 camels and are a sweet and innocent wittle girl.
