I saw them play this (and most of the album) in 1971 at Randwick race course. They were the headline act, on the same bill were Free and Manfred Mann’s Earth Band and a local Sydney support act, Piranna. A mate was living in Sydney at the time and got me a ticket. l flew up for the weekend, as l had started working. The whole weekend cost me 2 weeks pay, about $90 in those days, but worth every cent. I had to catch the red eye special on Monday morning and went straight from Essendon airport to work in Prahran. DP were brilliant, more than the sum of their individual parts and this track was the highlight of their set for me. The concert attracted about 35,000 and was one of the first with big o/s acts, after a few years of non-appearances by artists. The concert was made more memorable for me by the amount of speed l consumed, washed down with liberal amounts of gin. I got properly smashed but l still remember that concert vividly, one of the most enjoyable concert experiences of my 19 year old life. This is their best album, IMHO. Bang on!

Quite the bump, my apologies.

Bob log is always a good show. “Boob scotch”.

Plus the added bonus of reminding me of Bob Loblaw’s Law Blog
