We’re still right in this obviously, but jeez they are all over us like a cheap suit. If Clarke passes that ball and it gets roosted or if the stadium, the game looks completely different I reckon.

The worst part about it, he has done all the hard work of getting into space and breaking open the play but then fluffs it. Kills the play dead.

Parish caught deep in defence for most of that quarter, good by hand but horrible by foot. Someone get him to move up the ground ASAP.
We are soft at the contesr. Look hesitant. Perhaps the coaching might be an issue?

Turnovers is where the games at. We gave them momentum with poor turnovers and not capitalising on our opportunities in the first half of that second qtr. Shiel & Clarke misses (Clarke in particular given Fantasia was on his own in goal square but he walked back with his back to the goal) were what killed momentum. Should’ve been 6-7 goals up mid way through that qtr but for self inflicted wounds. Melb have been awful in second halves this year. Hopefully we can exploit that but effort & intensity is much better today and our midfield has some pep without Langford & Myers.

TBell seems slower than usual. Waste of time running him with Gawn. Put him down forward and run Smack on the ball. I know he is our best forward at the moment but we need to put pressure on their mids.
Let’s see if we can do more than 2 goals in a row in the second half. Entertaining game.
Pool here was evacuated mid 2nd qtr because someone did a log in the pool.
