Game Day Thread vs. Koch's old man should've tarped up

Another big game today. I see this going the same way as the Dees game. Dons by 4 goals.

Mods feel free to change the title if too offensive.

Dons by at least 151 (151-0 gets us back in front of Geelong).

We’re a tall defender short down back imo. Should have bought in one, to free up ridley to play third man up (sorry ivan and peos)

Dont see us winning, but its time for our mids to give the backline a chop out. We can’t let rozee and butters just waltz it in under no pressure or we’ll lose by 10 goals and Dixon will kick 7

Regardless of which way you feel about that. If Ridley is playing key tall, we need to bring in someone else to play ‘third man up.’

Kelly ain’t that guy. And Langford can do it, but we’re already short up forward.

Yep. We’re short. I don’t like it

And it’s odd, if you look at the teams Scott put out at North.

Loved stacking those sides with talls.

WTF are we playing nick hind for. Probably the most bizzare selection this year i reckon

We’ll get blown out 1.2 / 8.0 in the first qtr, but then we’ll keep up with them for the rest of the game. And then we can say that if it wasn’t for the first quarter we would have been right in it.

That one doesn’t bother me as much.

I’m not as positive about Massimo as some others are.

Nick Hind should have never stepped foot in the senior team again after his childish game day antics last year.

Title setting a tone I hope the players bring

It’s winnable, but only if everything goes right for us, starting with the the pressure we apply all over the ground.

I would not have dropped Snelling for Davey. Davey shows promise, but right now he brings virtually nothing to the team. Snelling has his faults, but he’s harder at it than anyone else and doesn’t get overawed by the big stage. We’ll just have to hope that Davey steps up several notches.

We don’t have anyone physically capable of holding Charlie Dixon one-on-one, so we’ll have to rely on our midfield to limit the chances he gets.

Port are playing well right now. Very big test for us, but one we can pass if we go for it hard enough.

Aliir is going to break the world record intercept marks isn’t he?

Funnily enough, our backline is a team of giants next to Port’s backline.

Zerk 195
Langford 192

The last game against them was the final nail in the coffin for the coach at the time. Round 22 2022.

What a debacle that was.

I think Port have improved since then and are playing this on their home turf so it’s going to be interesting to get a grasp how much we’ve improved - if at all.
