I’m thinking around $600-$700

PS4 runs those games, that’s not powerful at all.

Steam Deck is $649.

True still it’s miles ahead of the current Switch. The big 3rd party triple A games i play on my PS5

I’m happy for Switch 2 games to look pretty and not run like ass

Not to mention it’ll obviously be running them at lower res/frame rates.

Bought a 4090 at release and nothing from the 50 series is making me regret that.

Console/handheld gaming definitely has its place, but for me it just can’t compare (I saw that owning a ps5 and oled steamdeck).

Currently replying Skyrim with a 500gb modlist… My word.

Steam Deck 2 is in the works who know’s how much that is going to be

Won’t be out anytime soon, can’t see them making it with any of the current chips out ATM.
Would be surprised it the price is much higher when it eventually does come out though. Think they’re pretty happy with their pricepoint.

I’m assuming they’ll recoup some costs at least from the software side if they start licencing out steamOS to other vendors as has been talked about

I bought a 7900 XTX a year ago for under $1000 from the states. Thing is a beast.

Looking at this new underwhelming Nvidia gear, I think this gpu will last me for ages.

damn where’d you get it from cause that’s a decent grab

might wait to see what RDNA4 has, my 6700 is getting on a bit

Day one for me pre ordered the game cant wait to play

Amazon US, got a cracking black friday deal and I actually think it was a pricing error.

I bought Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 last night and stupidly began playing at 10:30PM. Didn’t take myself to bed until 1AM because it gripped me in so good. Normally not into this kind of single player RPG but finding it more appealing as I get older and less interested (hmm, less good) at the multiplayer skill based games I’m normally aligned with. Is anyone else playing?

I thought about refunding it within Steam’s 2hrs after the intro

Then I sat through it for another 15 minutes

Then I played till past midnight

The first game was a PS+ extra title a while ago so I finished it.

Whole thing felt like it was held together with duct tape, but was made with passion and handcrafted care. I loved it despite the awful combat which would typically be a nonstarter for me.

It had real soul, and I feel the devs mostly accomplished their vision.

A proper RPG with genuine freedom and creativity to do/solve things how you want.

I’ll play 2 eventually.

Awww shucks.

Holy crap. Computer Alliance (QLD) just updated their 5080/5090 prices. 30% increase to some eg MSI Vanguard 5080 $2299 -$2999.

The 50 series is a catastrophe. PCCG has 5070Tis anywhere from 30-50% markup over MSRP, plus some of those and 5090s have shipped with fewer ROPS, plus the power connectors are capable of setting your house on fire.

AMD will probably price RDNA4 cards at like $100 less. Whole market is cooked

Well I decided to pull the trigger on a 9070xt. Specifically a PowerColor Hellhound. Ridiculous name but it was the first in 4 cards that did not get rejected at checkout. Thanks to my bro who sat up past midnight because he was buying too.

Should do the trick for 1440p UW.

Assassins’ Creed Shadows getting lots of positive reviews 81% on Metacritic atm.

Made by Ubisoft Quebec who also made Origins and Odyssey which I loved. I’m going to sink close to 100 hours in Shadows
