Gary ablett jnr

In terms of waffling about “blame” and morals, None of us on here know the details, decisions by whom, what was said or even timeframes.

Beyond condolences for a clearly tragic passing, how about we stfu?

This isn’t an issues that Gary has had to deal with since he moved to GC. She has been in and out for a very long time. If he was that concerned he should never have left.

Having said that, the GC have been dicks the last two years, should have traded him back as soon as him being away became too much.

We put far to much value in money in today’s society

The last time I mentioned this in another thread I got burnt for it.

And can we ban the next person who uses the term ‘bud’ to address someone? Ok, good. Thanks.

Champ is as condescending as bud.
The rest I don’t have too much of a problem with lol. Same with BSD’s.

Digger is a good one that should be brought back into vogue too I reckon.

Ummmm …

Good…or ‘me old china’.

Does ‘me pretty’ still fly?

Maybe if you’re Fagin.

Gold Coast come out looking pretty bad, but at the end of the day, no one forced Gary to play this year - if he needed to take more time away from the club I’m sure they would have accomodated.

I ain’t sayin she a gold digger

Why can’t Ablett just “retire”

And then change his mind and enter the PSD?

No club will pick him up, bar Geelong.

Didn’t we do this with Mal Michael?

Yes we did. Which is why they changed the rules.

Yep.
I thought once players retire, they sign a paper saying that they cannot enter the draft or go as a free agent. A trade needs to be arranged.

How did we end up getting Chapman?
I can’t recall if Geelong put him up for trade or said he’d go as a free agent. In the end we traded for him (for memory).
