Gary Foulds to be on radio

Gary Foulds will be interviewed by the Coodabeens after 10a.m. on the ABC 774 am.  Hoipe someone can give a summary for those who can't listen.

Recording. Will post a link later.

I had number 10 on the back of my jumper. It was for Alan Noonan but I was more than happy when Foulds took it on.

Good chat. Some funny Sheed's stories. Some they'd never heard.

Thanks for the link.  Enjoyed the interview wish it was a bit longer.

Yes, thanks for that!

I recall reading somewhere about Garry Foulds that, at one time or other, he had been named in every position on the ground except first ruck. And that was even before Sheeds took over as coach.

The best story was when Sheeds was haranguing the team in the mid-80s: "You have to go in and get the ball,  you have to work hard! Well all of you except Fouldsy, he could go off to the dunny and the ball would follow him"!

I think he ended up with the pill after the end of both the 84 & 85 Grand Finals and kicked it into the crowd on both occasions. Interesting trivia fact.

No if my memory serves correct TD finished with the ball in 84

OK...so not quite a fact then.

TD definitely did finish with it.

Didn't he left hand handball it to Franky Dunnell right on the bell ?

As the siren went TD had the ball, and was in the process of handballing it to Garry Foulds, who then kicked it into the stands as the siren continued to sound.

To that point, I would say that was the greatest moment of my life.

Sorry, it was something Simon Madden brought up at a reunion and I thought that was pretty interesting.
