Cripps was going off his head about something. I thought at the time umpy called for a review just because it was Cripps.
I hate Fark Carlton as much as the next person but they went interstate and were within 3 kicks of the Crows with 5 minutes to go.
We can only dream of going interstate and being that close against a good team

I can never understand why the AFL look at a rule like last touch in the SANFL and go yep thatâs a great rule, works really really well in the SANFL, but â â â â it we are going to add in layers and make it more complicated than it needs to be. That way we can justify slowing the game down and using the ARC for incidental âlast possessionâ free kicks (The Neal-Bullen was out on the full, glad they got right)
I hate it when they stop the game to check whose toe touched the ball last in a contest near the boundary. Just throw it in and get the game moving again.
Also make it last touch inbetween the arcs, makes for more exciting footy imo
They should hold a gather round in most states
Round 1 QLD
Round 5 SA
Round 10 NSW
Round 15 Perth
Each of those should be the two local teams starting the round off with a bang
The âbetterâ teams playing in the major grounds and the struggling teams playing at local grounds
IMO Itâs a travesty that Brisbane are yet to play in the Adelaide Oval during gather round.
While the idea has some merit the AFaiL wonât go for it because the local grounds canât hold that many people and the loss of revenue would be too great.

Unfortunately for Brisbane they have no fans so unless they get the Crows or Port I doubt they will get AO. The AFL also likes to fixture the âbiggerâ Vic clubs at the Gabba or MCG so little chance they get one of those meaning Brisbane are always going to get a North, West Coast type fixture

Also a big believer in having a showdown in Gather round. Remove this âextra home gameâ BS.
Even it means 3 showdowns a season, they can do the showdown trophy as a best of 3.

Unrelated to tonight, but how good was Rocheleâs game last night, as good as Daicos! No longer playing like the scared we saw him against us not so long ago. Nickâs sat hm down and had a good talk to him about taking on some responsibility and direction and it has worked wonders. Would that Scott had the nous to initiate a few conversations likewise with some of our underperformers.

Blues did a good job overallâŚbut what got me was leaving Cripps off for start of Q2 and Blues got smashed in the middle, crowd put 5 goals on, then he puts Cripps back on.
I donât rate Oli Hollands on the wing, doesnât do enough.
Maybe they could have played Hewett, but just swapped him with Cripps off the bench, so Hewetts game time is limited, but it still gives the Blues a ball winner when Cripps is off or forward.
And they can have their runners on outside - Cerra, Jagga and Walsh.
No why would you play a side three times home and away?
The centrepiece of gather yeah should be a all Adelaide derby.
But then again you could argue that Vic teams get plenty of extra âhome gamesâ as well.
The umpiring never seems to be outrageous towards the SA teams in Adelaide. If anything I think the crows in particular get dicked.
Itâs not a Perth, Sydney or QLD game.(especially the comically one sided umpiring the suns receive in front of a few seagulls at Carrara).
