More than anything else, I just want to know what exactly does Geelong have over the AFL that they keep getting away with this stuff
Each time something gets revealed about them, you think surely they can’t let them off again…. And then they do

Look, to me the AFL signing it off is expected and you know, whatever, they do what they do and they’re just a scumbag of an organisation but the AFLPA ticking it off and being okay with it. what the actual ■■■■?

If this is true, then it reinforces the perception of coercion. I’m obviously not a lawyer, but this also seems like Geelong are getting no or terrible legal advice.

You are wrong.
In any workplace, health and safety is not something you can sign away. Employers have all the responsibility, law and common sense decrees that you do not leave these decisions to employees.

Talking to a cat supporter this morning, he expected there would be serious repercussions. somewhat surprised at AFL response.
There are all sorts of analogies that we could use but facts are that it is not a right to choose to enter an employment contract such as this.
