General Knowledge Quiz! - Quiz in OP - Happy 1,800th!

Made me watch a 2 minute clip to see if you had the answer.

Hmm maybe it was the other way around. Husband was originally the woman. It was linked to the etymology of husbandry as in “animal husbandry”.

I will guess then something to do with cooking / fires. If there is any relationship to “bridle”, then I assume it is some kind of contraption to hold something.

469 A kitchen cupboard, like a dresser.

Is correct. To cook (ancient Teutonic).

Thought there was something about blond originally meaning black (or a similar word which changed totally)

586 anchors. I have bored my wife before by identifying them all by sight (and stupidly, telling her) as we walked through a marina at Port Douglas.

581 mist is wet?

Only one of the new q’s I’d have been confident. Have a sand anchor which is kind of a plough/danforth on the tinny, with a grapnel for the kayak. And I made a bendable grapnel type one out of rebar as a reef anchor for the tinny. (The prongs will bend and clear with a decent force).

Face warmers? LOL

So you are not confident about getting past the pitfall of working from home then?
