Trump has been shot in the head. Just nicked him so he’s OK. Close call.
WTF.
I’d rather be shot than watching KPop and other South Korean nonsense.
At first I thought it was being on blitz all day had wrecked my computer
As long as Kayo works for the game (can’t believe i uttered those words)
Get a Mac!
50 years since Turkey took over north Cyprus , in response to a Greek coup declaring Cyprus part of Greece.
At least there’s no ongoing war there, the UN Green line ( set up by a UNSC resolution) holds. Turkey has declared north Cyprus as a sovereign State, not recognised as such by the UN or any other country.
Life goes on, with a US military base in the South. It’s not far from Lebanon and has been used to evacuate foreign citizens, including Australians.
Cyprus has the status of a UN and EU member, now the only EU member not a NATO member.
Still playing out, but it looks like a massive popular vote against Maduro in Venezuela’s Presidential election followed by Maduro claiming victory. Going to get messy.
Official vote tally is 109% of votes have been counted. Each loyal to the regime “opposition” party got exactly 4.6% each. Seems legit.

Chile and Argentina have rejected the results.
At the request of the National Electorate Office to the UNSG , a Team of Experts went to Venezuela in July . It will provide a confidential report to the UNSG.
It doesn’t have the status of a UN team agreed or authorised between the UN membership, as for example in South Africa or Timor Leste ( to assist in the observance of electoral procedures).
Has Chile? According to credible MSM reports sourcing official statements, it’s holding fire pending information, without expressing faith in the system.
From what I understand, the Opposition has only had access to around 40% of the vote tallies ( presumably scrutineered votes from Booths). The Electorate Office claimed a win for Maduro on the basis of claims of 80% of votes counted.

Currently there’s mass protests clashing with police. Armed men in civilian clothes are firing live rounds into civilians, with the tacit acceptance of police. Guns are illegal for civilians to own, so it’s almost certain these are police.
There are instances of the army taking off their uniforms and joining the protests, or otherwise supporting the protesters. Not currently a critical mass to threaten the government, but the army will decide the future of Venezuela.
A critical few days ahead for that nation.
Won’t somebody think of the Miss Universes?! Future, past and present.
It’s ironic. A plurilaterally negotiated automated voting system, designed to deliver transparency and prevent voter suppression.
It worked at the voter level.
Suppression of voting results is where it fell down. However, if nothing else, there can be no legitimacy to the Electorate Council’s determination without releasing the full electronic records of votes.
There was footage of Maduro loyalist gangs breaking into counting rooms and stealing boxes of ballots from anti-Maduro areas. There’s a very big asterisk on the final count.
